The Best Heavy Duty Side Mount Sliding Door System In The Business
|
We at K.N. Crowder have always said that we make the highest quality sliding door track and hardware in the business. We have always had the ability to side mount our track with side brackets. Now we would like to introduce one of our newest products, the COMPLETE SIDE MOUNT SLIDING DOOR SYSTEM.
To help you understand this article, please refer to the related links below that include 2 photographs and one computer drawing (perfect for spec writing).
TRACK & FASCIA
In drawing C1 you will see a side view of the track. The C108 track is attached by screwing in through the top arm to the wall and is also supported by the lower 'T." Then you can SNAP our C110 fascia onto the top and the bottom of the track, cutting down on lengthy and expensive labour which would result if a wood fascia were cut and installed. The C110 is available in a clear anodized finish or a primed finish that can be easily painted to match the décor of the room.
HANGERS
Any of our C100'S series (C103-4, C106-4, C107-4…) hangers will fit the track but most prefer using our C911 Quick release hanger (click here for C911 drawing). This hanger with its slotted "T" hanger body and bolt allow you to lift the door off the hanger body and remove it or drop it back in place. Installers can now slide the hanger's body into the track and mount the top plate and "T" bolt to the door and then drop it in place whenever they want, even at the end of the job. Resulting in a tremendous saving of installation time and money.
DOOR STOP
To stop the door from smashing into the wall or off the end of the track we would recommend using our brand NEW C100-HD heavy duty door stop (click here for drawing). Insert the stop into the track. Determine where you want your door to stop and insert the pan head screw into the back oblong hole. Make your fine adjustment and lock into position with flat head screw in the counter sunk hole.
GUIDE SYSTEM
As for guiding the bottom of the door the most popular, cleanest method is to recess a C914 Heavy duty channel into the bottom of the door (refer to C2). Then when your door is in the closed position and is overlapping the wall (or pocket) by a couple of inches, this is where you mount your C913 Heavy duty door guide. This way you don't see any hardware and the door (no matter what position it's in) is always supported and will never pop off the door guide if you've followed all of the above steps.
That's it. You're done. Just screw on your C110 End caps into the C110 Fascia (picture 2) and you're off to installing the next one. We are confident that this is the fastest to install most durable, cleanest-looking side mount system in the business and hope you do too. This system also works great for double doors as well as heavy duty pocket doors (using C104 track). If you have any questions or comments please contact Jeremy Crowder @ jeremy@kncrowder.com or call (905)315-9788. We welcome your support and look forward to future business.
